We welcomed 150 families to The Market Weighton School for our Year 5 and 6 open evening on Wednesday 30th September.  Following a presentation in the school hall by Mr Harrison, parents and students toured every area of the school to sample lessons lead by our students.  Acting as tour guides or demonstrating activities in classroom 128 TMWS students showed off their school with pride.  Many of the parents commented  as they left about how friendly and polite the students were and that they would like to send their child to TMWS because of the impression they had received from the students, which is the best advert we could hope for.

Other feedback from parents included;

“Massive improvement since we last visited with our older son.  Great Presentation, Thank you”

 “Love the school, always dealt with problems/issues promptly. Friendly and approachable.”

 “Pleased with how the school was presented and pleasantly surprised based on reputation/media coverage of Ofsted, thank you, I feel reassured”

 If any prospective parents and students could not make our open day you are more than welcome to make an appointment and tour the school, please contact the school office and we will get back to you.

We are looking forward to welcoming students from Newbald Primary on Friday 9th October as they missed the open day due to their residential visit to Northumberland.
