Today students attended a workshop by Theatre Group Dramatic!.
WIRED is a performance/workshop which provides insight to drug and alcohol misuse and other risk taking behaviours with particular reference made to Novel Psychoactive Substances. The session explored myths and misconceptions around substance misuse and provided our young people with the opportunity to consider their relationship with the theme. The performance consisted of a play and an interactive workshop, using the performance as a catalyst. The interactive workshop invited students to challenge the attitudes and behaviours they have witnessed. Through discussions, activities and investigations, students had opportunity to explore their own views, question preconceptions and discover answers for themselves.
It was especially nice to see a former Head Boy, John Dixon, pictured above left, return to the school to lead the session.
