Dear Parents/Carers
In December 2014 we informed you that the Governing Body had begun the process of appointing a new Headteacher to the school to succeed Gavin Chappell in September 2015. Following an intensive recruitment process, I am pleased to announce, on behalf of the Governing Body and the Local Authority, that Mr Richard Harrison is the successful candidate.
Mr Harrison is an experienced school leader who is currently Vice Principal at the Unity City Academy in Middlesbrough.
The Governing Body firmly believe that this appointment represents another important step in the journey that has seen the school make significant progress over the last few years. We are confident that as the school enters this new era, Richard Harrison will lead the school from strength to strength.
Mr Harrison will be in close contact with the school over the next term in order to ensure that the process of transition will be a smooth one.
