Released July 19, 2018

Following our assessment on Tuesday 12th June 2018 the school are pleased to announce that we have been successful in attaining the Quality in careers standard for schools. This replaces the old Gold Standard award and is recognition of the high quality careers education the school delivers.

The school will be formally presented our certificate at the next Skills Network meeting on the morning of 18th September 2018. The process of working towards this award began 5 years ago and in that time we have developed a strong careers team in school and forged relationships with 17 local colleges and 10 local businesses.

We also appointed a level 6 careers advisor (Sue Tunstall) in May 2018 to ensure all pupils receive at least 1 careers interview during KS4. The team look forward to further developing our provision in 2018/19 for the benefit of our pupils.
