We are pleased to be able to announce that this year we achieved the best set of examination results in the school’s history. 67% of our Y11 students achieved the GCSE ‘Gold Standard’ of 5 or more GCSEs at A*-C including English and Maths. This is 8% up on last year and is a great reward for our students who put in a tremendous amount of hard work. There were also many outstanding individual performances from our students. Most importantly of all, our students have secured the college places that will help them realise their future career aspirations and ambitions. A few of the headlines are as follows
• 67% 5+A*-C including English and Maths (Was 58% in 2013)
• 10% of students attained 8 or more A*/A grades
• 76% made 3 or more levels of progress in Maths (2013: 66%)
• 74% made 3 or more levels of progress in English (2013: 70%)
• 2 students gained an A* with distinction in Further Maths (this is above an A*)
• 62% of students attained 1 or more A*/A grades
