ENGINEERING APPRENTICES
OVERVIEW
We are currently looking for two apprentices to join our Engineering Department on the manufacture of truck bodies & trailers for retail customers and our own sales team. As well as attending college on a day release basis, a full internal training programme will be followed to learn the whole range of skills to enable the candidate to become fully skilled in our profession.
VACANCY DESCRIPTION
– Carry out truck bodybuilding and fabrication duties
– Carry out chassis modifications to both new & used trucks
– Carry out general engineering duties
– Work towards the required coding standard for MIG welding
– Attend the college on a day release bases on a welding & fabrication discipline

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 4-5 GCSE’s or equivalent including mathematics, English and a practical subject at level 4 (Grade C) or above
WORKING HOURS
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday – 8am – 4.30pm with a half hour unpaid lunch break
Wednesday 8am – 3.30pm with a half hour unpaid lunch break
Total of 39 basic hours per week
